Colossians 1:9-12 (NKJV) For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;  strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;  giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. This was Paul’s prayer for the people of God in the city of Coloasse. It also expresses God’s desire for His children in every place and for all time. Since this expresses the will of God for us, we can be confident that it is a prayer according to the will of God. Since it is according to the will of God, we can be sure that He will answer.  1 John 5:14-15 (NKJV) Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

  1. that we may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding
  2. that we may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him
  3. that we be fruitful in every good work
  4. that we be increasing in the knowledge of God
  5. that we be strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power for all patience and
            longsuffering with joy
  1. giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light

Do all to the glory of God
